Obituary of Mary Anna Gibson

After a life well lived, Mary Anna Gibson (nee Merrett) passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. She was the eldest daughter of William and Georgina Merrett (nee Dodd). After graduating from Dutton High School she went on to complete her education at Alma College in St. Thomas. Upon graduation she went to work for the Bank of Montreal where she worked for thirty seven years. After retirement she loved to garden and travel. She had many lovely trips to the Caribbean, Europe and her favorite Hawaii. She was predeceased by her husband Orville in December of 1966. She is survived by her only daughter Rose Marie (Julian) Colpaert, sister June (the late Meredith), niece Jackie Wreford (Ray) and nephew John (Allison) Orr. At Anna's request there will be no visitation and a private family service. Special thanks to Dr. Cantelon and Dr. David Gregory and staff for all their years of care.
