Obituary of Betty Bobier

At the Bobier Villa on November 5th, 2015 with sad hearts we told mom it was ok to go and continue her journey with dad. Florence Elizabeth “Betty” (Binks) Bobier passed away peacefully. Born May 14th, 1929 in Aldborough township. Daughter of Pearl and Abbott Binks and wife of Earl Bobier (2010) for 64 years. During that time they worked side by side to maintain a farm and work outside of the home. They were always on the road summer and fall, travelling to plowing matches, music festivals and touring with friends as well as taking many bus tours. They also fulfilled their dream of going back to Ireland. Both volunteered many hours giving to others. Mom and dad instilled in all of us a great love of music, a hard work ethic and caring gentle ways. Mom is survived by brother Delmer, sons Don (Betty Ann), West Lorne, David (Leslie), Thorndale and daughter Sharon Middleton, Nova Scotia; grandchildren Donny (Deb), John (Angela), Julia (Jesse), Steve, Terri (Scott), Thomas and Angelique; great grandchildren Amanda (Kyle), Abigail, Xavier, Zachary, Ethan, Gabriel and Jude; great great grandchildren Noah. Predeceased by parents Pearl and Abbott Binks, sisters Gladys Binks and Lorene Carroll and brother in laws Ross Carroll, Carl Bobier and Bill Anderson and sister in laws Joan Binks and Marion Anderson. Thanks to the ongoing care of mom and dad by the outstanding staff at Bobier Villa for the thoughtfulness shown to our parents and family during some difficult and memorable times. Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF WEST LORNE on Sunday, November 8th, 2015 from 12:30 to 2 pm followed by the service at 2 pm. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Tyrconnell.
