Eugene "Butch" Christopher Bint

November 4, 1955 - March 20, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Eugene "Butch" Christopher Bint announces his sudden passing on March 20, 2021 in his 66th year. Born in St Thomas Ontario, Butch spent most of his life in West Elgin, farming, trucking and raising his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his six children Daniyel (Kyle) McLellan, Brittany (Dane) Freeman, Cherilyn Bint, Bradley Bint (Shelbey Bernard), Noah Bint and Mason Bint. Butch will always be remembered by his grandchildren Brynn, Leonidas, Remington, Caylum and Dax. He will sadly be missed by his life partner Madilyn Oddula Sherwood and his sister Christine (Curtis) Hay. He will be remembered by his many nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his parents Monica and Carl Graham.

Butch can only be described as a character, of the absolute best kind. A natural born storyteller, he was boisterous and charismatic, with a laugh that was larger than life.

While he didn’t suffer fools and he wasn’t afraid to tell you when you were wrong, he was a kind and loyal man who could always be counted on.

Over his 30-year career at Safety Kleen, Butch was a dedicated employee who had a way of turning acquaintances into friends and coworkers into family.

If you knew Butch, you knew that farming was his first love. Growing up, he spent countless hours working in the field with his parents and sister and later with his own children. He was no stranger to hard work, and he never backed down from a challenge.

Above all else, Butch was an incredible father who was tremendously proud of his children and their successes. He adored each one of them and the people that they had become and were becoming.  Butch’s relationship with his kids was his life’s greatest achievement and through them he will forever be remembered.

A private funeral mass will take place. Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation at DENNING'S OF WEST LORNE, 202 Main Street by clicking HERE to register to attend. If desired, memorial contributions to the West Elgin Daffodil Auxiliary are appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Denning's of West Lorne.
