Obituary of Elaine Hillman
Elaine Hillman, a resident of Clachan, passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre-Victoria Campus, on July 5, 2018, in her 78th year. Raised in Muirkirk, daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth (née McLean) Cochrane. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 57 years, Ron Hillman and children Nancy Kopriva (Dave) and Mike Hillman (Jody) as well as grandchildren Brooke, Nathan and Jesse Hillman. Beloved sister of Cal Cochrane (Marilyn), Lynne MacGinnis (Kerry Moloughney), Peter Cochrane (Sandra), the late John Cochrane (Carolyn) and the late Helen Vandale (Jim). Dear sister-in-law of Bill Hillman (the late Wilma), George Hillman (Bonnie), Marilynn Sommerville (Gord), the late Harvey Hillman (Esther). Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, aunt and cousins, especially her lifelong friend Jean Hadley. Elaine will be missed by her many friends and neighbours in the Clachan community and the numerous customers she enjoyed serving for 30 years at the BMO in Highgate. Cremation has taken place. The Hillman family will receive friends on Sunday, July 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at DENNING’S OF RODNEY, 212 Furnival Road, Rodney (519-785-0810) where the Service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment in McLean Cemetery.
