Obituary of Evelyn Joye Vandenberg

Peacefully on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at London Health Sciences Centre – University Campus, Evelyn Joye Vandenberg (nee McDonald) of West Lorne, passed away at the age of 83. Loving wife of the late Theodorus “Ted” Vandenberg (Predeceased December 9, 2015). Beloved mother of Greg (Janice) Rawnsley of London and Deb (Bob) Noble of Alma. Step-mother of Martin (Shirley) of West Lorne, John (Sharon) of Mount Brydges, Annie (Jim) Page of Mount Brydges, Walter (Peggy) of London, Mirjam (Kevin) Hall of Morpeth, Carla (Larry) Okolisan of West Lorne, Ted of London, and daughter in law Karrie of London. Survived by 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Faye Anderson of Thunder Bay, Bob (Liz) McDonald of Mexico, Orma (Ivan) Bigford of Pincher Creek, Alberta and June (Al) Schuster of Regina, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by parents Earl and Verna McDonald (1982), grand daughter Terra (2002), step-grandson Theo (1987) and step sons William (1974) and Peter (2003). Also predeceased by siblings Margaret Whalen, Claire, Clifford, Lloyd and Richard. Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF WEST LORNE, 202 Main Street, West Lorne, 519-785-0810 on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 108 Graham Road, West Lorne, on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11 am. Cremation to follow with Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations in memory of Evelyn may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Share a memory at denning.ca
