Obituary of Sheila Beaton

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Thursday, January 21st, 2010 after a long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis, Sheila Mary Beaton (nee Marshall) of Watford in her 78th year. Sheila is survived by her loving husband John and by children Jane (Tien) Joris, Tom (Paula) Beaton, Ted (Sandra) Beaton and Margaret Beaton. Sheila will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jill (Andrew), Martina (Derrick) and Maxwell, Shealyn, Ryley and Laine, Marshall, Evan and Micaela and by great grandchildren Miaree, Safiya and Merrick. Sheila is survived by sisters in law Ruth Mowat, Bernice (Ernie) Barnett, Evelyn (Lloyd) Horne and Maude Beaton. Predeceased by her brother Joseph H. Marshall and sister Betty Racey and survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the WATFORD CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Wednesday, January 27th from 5-9pm with Memorial Service to be held on Thursday, January 28th, at 3pm at the Watford United Church (555 Ontario St.) with Pastor Fred Darke officiating. Donations to the Canadian Foundation for the Children of Haiti or the Watford United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family. We invite anyone who has taken piano or singing lessons from Sheila, anyone who has sung in any of Sheila's choirs - camp choirs, church choirs, community choirs, children's choirs, children's musical plays, Easter cantatas; anyone she has accompanied at the piano or organ; or friends who like to sing - to join her last earthly choir at the memorial service that will be held at Watford United Church. No rehearsal is necessary - just come to the rooms at the north end of the church before the memorial service. That's how we will provide lots of good congregational singing for her.
