Obituary of Eugene Tacij

TACIJ At Beattie Haven Retirement Community, Wardsville on Friday, October 30th, 2009. Eugene "Joe" Tacij of RR#1 Rodney in his 84th year. Loving husband of Elizabeth (Scherbak) and dear father of MaryAnn Lupsor of Rodney, Katherine Deyle of Highgate, John Tacij of Rodney, Ginny Bowen (Carl) of Oshawa and Micheal Tacij of Mount Brydges. Joe is survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, son-in-law Walter Lupsor (1999) and grandson Earnie (2000). Joe immigrated to Canada from the Ukraine in 1947 and settled in the Rodney area in 1966 where he grew Tobacco for many years. Friends may call at the Rodney Chapel on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted from the chapel on Monday at 11 am. Pastor R. Karn officiating. Interment Rodney cemetery.
